With little fanfare, Inti has released Rockman ZX Soundsketch: ZX Gigamix, a compilation of music from the ZX games as well as drama tracks similar to those found on the Rockman Zero Complete Works albums. The official webpage has some samples of a few of the tracks, so take a listen! ZX Gigamix retails for 3,000 yen.

Ryuusei no Rockman 3 Official Site - Site Launches with Teaser Wallpaper
Posted by Nigoli on April 24th, 2008.

Shooting Star Rockman 3 Official Site
"The future of this planet is now up to them."
"2008. The world is covered in Noise."

Teaser Wallpaper
1600 x 1200 | 1280 x 960 | 1024 x 768 | Full Image

Just who exactly is this new Character with the Blue Hair and Red Visualizer? And what does the term "Noise" mean? What role will this take with the Plot of the Game?

According to the Boss Character Contest announced for CoroCoro's May Issue and being held up to the end of May. The Theme will be Space, instead of Constellations for the new Boss Character Contest with a Maximum of 3 Bosses from the Contest to be in the game.

Certainly sets a tone for the way the Teaser Wallpaper could be as if something were coming to this World.

Wave Command Cards CONFIRMED for Star Force 2! - Confirmed by Capcom, but then, who knows for sure?
Posted by LordHuffnPuff on April 3rd, 2008.

English-speaking MegaMan fans have put up with lots of cuts in their day. From the poorly-supported Advance Chip system to the complete lack of e+ modifications, Capcom U.S.A. has been, if nothing else, consistent in their cuts of extra peripheral material.

However, this trend has reached an end.

After a personal conversation with Jason Allen, Capcom U.S.A.'s PR Specialist, I am able to confirm that English Wave Command Cards will be produced.

"There will be cards available, and we'll have more details about how those cards will be distributed at a later date." Allen told me this morning. Hopefully this will set a trend for future MegaMan games, and perhaps we'll even see English Star Carriers!

New Ryuusei no Rockman 2 Books - Wave Command Perfect File & Ultimate Navigation
Posted by Nigoli on March 20th, 2008.

Ryuusei no Rockman 2 ~ Wave Command Card Perfect File (3/25)

This Book has said to list 279 Total Cards. I really wasn't expecting the DefaultTribeKing to be included with this book at all. Thought it would have been an Event Exclusive. I also hope it lists any Cards that haven't been released yet.

Ryuusei no Rockman 2 ~ Ultimate Navigation TRIBE (3/31)

This is certainly a first. I don't think I've ever seen any previous Ultimate Navigation Guide releasing this quickly. I'm curious to see what this one will have. Last year for Ultimate Navigation Legend we had an interview based on some Ryuusei 2 Questions. Then again, it's so soon. I doubt we'd get any treatment like that.

Surprise! Mega Man Star Force 2 Announced for North America
Posted by H0tSh0tZ1627 on March 13th, 2008.

It must seem like an eternity since something Mega Man related was announced by Capcom of America, but in a surprise move for Capcom's Digital Day, Mega Man Star Force 2 has been announced for release in North America!!

The usual name changes that come with English localization have occurred. Berserker X Shinobi will be known as Zerker X Ninja, while Berserker X Dinosaur will be known as Zerker X Saurian. Hey, Capcom, why did the "Ber" have to go?

There seems to be conflicting release dates for the game in North America based on what Capcom has released to the press. On their Press Release, they state the game is slotted for an autumn 2008 release, but on their Fact Sheet, they clearly state a June 2008 release. I'll try getting to the bottom of this as soon as possible.

And for art lovers, I'll be getting the image assets up sometime today for you guys. In any case, rejoice! Star Force 2 is coming to North America!!

UPDATE: GameSpot has put up a Hands-On Review for the game. The overall impression?

"Our time with Mega Man Star Force 2 was brief, but we definitely came away with the impression that Capcom is focused on creating an experience that's very similar to the first game, while at the same time trying to add enough new content to warrant a $30 purchase. We'll know this June whether or not the game delivers just that."

UnderSquare Updates

Forum Issues
Posted by Jisus on April 30th, 2008.

It has recently come to light that some users have been experiencing difficulty accessing our forums from the main pages, often resulting in a time warp, like Kyithios. We're currently working on the issue now, but for the time being, the easiest remedy to this would be to make sure that you and your friends have the proper URL bookmarked.

The correct URL should be...

...And not...

We apologize for the inconvenience and will have it fixed soon enough.

Various Site Changes - Visual guides, and some new pages!
Posted by Duminas on December 10th, 2007.

At last, some long-needed corrections and updates have been merged into the main part of The UnderSquare to bring the site to completion.

Foremost, an error that was plaguing the Rockman EXE 6 Visual Guide has been resolved, and the obnoxious message about a fle being missing will no longer appear. Similarly, links both within that visual guide, as well as the Shooting Star Rockman one now point back to this domain, and the new forum address in replacement of the old domain.

Next up, two new pages were added--the Contact Us page, as well as the ever-so-useful Site Map! Why not check both of them out?

Third, the news format got an update that should make things much easier to use. To the right of each news title on the main page, a + button is available. Click that to expand and read the full news article. While that is expanded, the button becomes - and can be used to contract the article.

We hope you find this update useful, and as always if there's an error somewhere, let us know!

Help System Updated! - Forum rules got an update, too.
Posted by Duminas on December 7th, 2007.

The Help system that used to be so seldom used has been heavily modified and updated. Our policies on various things, as well as the forum rules, also got introduced into the system. To access the Help system, you can click Help at the top-right corner of the screen, or simply follow this link.

When you get there, you'll notice a total of 13 topics. Most of them should seem familiar, and will likely not need explanation. If you're unfamiliar with any aspect of the forum that even seems like it'd be covered by one of the categories, we suggest you take a look at the appropriate topic and see if it helps at all.

With this update and move of these things, the forum rules have recieved an update. To help facilitate access to these, and explain which ones are needed to be viewed if you're simply looking for an update to the rules, the boardwide announcement has also been changed to reflect the new locations.

To access that, check the Announcements at the top of each forum, or simply click here. If you know anything you feel the Help system needs to address that it does not currently, please let us know!

Multimedia Gallery Restored! - Shoutbox, too.
Posted by Duminas on November 21st, 2007.

The long-forgotten multimedia gallery has been restored, and upgraded in the process. You can now use the Gallery section to upload pictures that you create, into whichever category is appropriate!

As usual, if you find some work of yours or another's that should not be there, let us know of it. ...And bugs, we hate bugs, and need to smash them down if there are any.

Also, the shoutbox is permanently enabled again, though you will not be able to use it on the Search or Profile pages, as a manner of speeding things up. If you prefer to use the full shoutbox interface, you can do so here.

We hope you enjoy the restored functionality~

Shoutbox Temporarily Disabled - Back online!
Posted by Duminas on November 19th, 2007.

Sorry it came to this, but Bluehost's CPU policies are really bizarre and it seems the shoutbox was killing it, for whatever reason. Can't see why, since no script runs longer than half a second and the restriction is at 30 seconds...

Ahem, anyways, I do apologise for any inconveneinces this can cause. In the meantime, rules in The Dump will be less enforced, so if you want to run a public topic of some form in there, you are more than welcome to do so.

Again, I apologise, and I'm pestering Bluehost to get this figured out. If all goes well, it should be back up soon.

Thanks for your understanding.

EDIT: The Shoutbox is back online and should be here to stay!

We've Moved! - Now theundersquare.com!
Posted by Duminas on November 18th, 2007.

I do apologise for how long this took to come to fruition, guys. Circumstances out of our control prevented us from getting this done when we planned to. Anyways...

Welcome to the new UnderSquare! *tosses confetti*

Ahem, with that out of the way, we hope you enjoy the new layout and enhanced usability it provides. The forums are their old selves, as usual, but please check out our main site if you've not already--you may find yourself wanting to browse about. wink.gif

What "new features?"
Foremost is the wiki--it's almost done, but see below for that.

Second would be that you are now able to attach files to your posts! You'll find that when posting pretty much anywhere on TUS, the Attachment manager is now usable. You can upload files to your post, such as images, text documents, and more, all to help explain what you mean, keep images centralised, or even just to make managing everything easier for you.

If not in a different group, you have 5 MB of space for uploads. Netbattler Champions have double that, but what would a group be without perks... ^^;

*cough*

Another new feature is the fact that news posts on the front page are much more delineated, and easier to follow due to both the title and description being shown. If you came here from the main page, you've seen this already, but if not, the below screenshot demonstrates:

[attachment=116:new_news_format.png]

What about the wiki?
Our Team is working on getting the wiki set up for content. SilentJi is the head of that project, so when you see him around, rest assured--we're working on it! =)

Found a bug? Something missing?
Post it here--we've set up a topic specifically for dealing with bugs the move introduced.

What's with the domain name changing around?
That's part of our rebranding. You can use our primary address, www.theundersquare.com, www.exe-undersq.com, or www.the-undersquare.com to reach us, now--all three will behave if you have old links from them, though they redirect to our primary now.

If you have any bookmarks to old domains, it is suggested you update them to the new domain.

Thank you for your patience, and we hope you enjoy the expanded services we can now provide!
